(CNN)The person who stabbed nine people at a Minnesota shopping center Sunday before being taken lifeless by an off-duty officer was a "soldier of the Islamic status," according with an ISIS-linked news company.
The statement placed online Weekend by the Amaq company follows a design of ISIS-related press proclaiming responsibility for what look like the acts of people across Europe before few months.
CNN cannot separately verify this latest state.
"We still don't possess anything substantive that could suggest any other thing more than what we realize already, which is this is a lone attacker," St. Cloud Authorities Main William Blair Anderson advised CNN's Jake Tapper Weekend. "And right now, we're looking to get to underneath of his motivations."
