History of Temples:
1. Angkor Wat : The most celebrated of all Cambodia's monuments, the Khmer people consider Angkor Wat to be the symbol of their nation. This pinnacle of classical fine art built in the first half of the 12th century was originally dedicated to the god Vishnu. In the 16th century, it started to become a significant pilgrimage site for both domestic and international adherents of Buddhism. A Japanese pilgrim first recorded its architectural plan early in the 17th century. (Tour: 2 to 3 hours) .
3. ANGKOR THOM - This name means "Great Capital", and refers to the capital of the Khmer Empire that began in the 12th century. The city is surrounded by a wall and wide moat. Five monumental gates allow entry into it. With a surface area of 9 square kilometers, it contains a royal palace and a series of temples. (Tour: 3 hours)

built in 907, it was known as the "Central Mountain': This hilltop location overlooks the Angkor site. It now offers visitors a splendid view over Angkor Wat and

temple-mountain dedicated to Shiva when it was built in the 11th century, with an immense statue of a reclining Buddha being erected on its western face in the 16th
century. The Baphuon is the most extensive monument restoration operation in
